We now
offer patients the use of a secure web site on the Internet to:

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR EMIS ACCESS?
You must be a fully registered patient, and need a letter from us
containing personalised access codes. To get this letter you
need to come to Reception and ask for 'Registration for EMIS
Access', you will need to show some photo ID, for example your
Loughborough University student ID card.
The
Receptionist will 'find' you on our computer system and print out
your access codes and registration instructions. Once you have
the access codes and instructions you can connect to the web site at
any time and register.
SECURITY NOTICE
It is your responsibility to ensure that your EMIS Access details
are not used by anyone else. Any misuse of the service will
result in your access being withdrawn. If you lose your security
details, contact us straight away, by telephone or in person.
HOW
DO I GET ONTO EMIS ACCESS?
You can visit this page on our web site and click one of the links or
you can connect directly using
https://www.access.e-mis.co.uk
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE OR FORGET MY LOGIN DETAILS
We will need to issue you with a new PIN, and you will then need to
re-register with the new details - come to Reception and tell them
you have 'lost your EMIS Access PIN'. You will need to show us photo
ID (passport or authorised student card). We will issue you with new
access codes and instructions, you can then connect to the web site
at any time and register again.
APPOINTMENTS
USING EMIS ACCESS TO VIEW AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS
Log into EMIS Access and then click on 'Book a new appointment'. You
will now see currently available appointments that can be booked via
the Internet. Please note:
1.
EMIS Access shows a selection of
appointments that are available over the next 48 hours, but not
every free appointment.
2. If
you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment (whether
it was booked by telephone or Internet) we will not be able to see
you, and you will have to re-book.
3. Please
don't forget about your appointment, and note that if you need to
cancel you can do so using EMIS Access (see below) or by telephone.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
After viewing the available appointments, find a suitable time and
click on it. You will now see the 'Confirm your booking' screen. It
is helpful to us if you can enter a reason for your consultation.
If you are
happy with the appointment you have chosen click 'Book' and your
appointment will be confirmed (otherwise click 'choose a different
appointment').
Once you
return to the EMIS Access home page the appointment you have booked
will be displayed.
CANCELLING AN APPOINTMENT
You can cancel only appointments that have been made using EMIS
Access. To do so, log on, and your appointment will be displayed on
the home page in the Appointments display area. Simply click
'Cancel', and you will see a confirmation request.
