This website gives an overview of the co-ordinated research activities across all areas of engineering at Loughborough. Research is split into the areas of Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering (see lefthand menu for links). Undertaken by a number of multi-disciplinary groups and specialist centres we are able to bring together expertise across our range of specialisms to provide innovative solutions to both industry-defined and fundamental research problems.
Collaborative research with industry and also with other academic institutions is a key strength of our research.
