 Background

Robb graduated from Hull University in 1985 with an Honours Degree in Engineering Design and Manufacture. After working for a small engineering company he returned to Hull University and gained an MSc. Robb joined Loughborough University in 1987 as a Teaching Fellow. He currently has two main responsibilities in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. The first role is teaching Computer Aided Engineering to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as mentoring researchers in their use of CAE applications. His second role is in Information Systems support for the School.

 Broad Interests and Expertise

Robb has specialist knowledge in Computer Aided Engineering systems and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. Robb also has role in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering supporting many of the computing activities within the School.

Areas of interest are;
CAD/CAM/CAE software (UGS NX, Solid Edge, Vericut, Sammie, Grasp, Patran, Nastran)
CNC Manufacture
Information Systems Support
