Information for Returning Students 2011-12
Please note that University central registration is compulsory for each year of your programme.
From 2011/12 the University will be conducting online re-registration. For more details please see http://www.lboro.ac.uk/registry/returners.
Please note that returning students do not register in the School.
Useful Information
- Term dates are published online: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/admin/ar/calendar/dates/
- Semester 1 timetables, coursework schedules and Programme Handbooks will be published during the week prior to the start of term. Students will be emailed giving the appropriate links to these items. Semester 2 timetables will be available in week 15 of Semester 1.
- 2011-12 programme regulations will be published before the start of term. Please note that regulations are subject to change and you must refer to the current version for each Part, when available, on this site:
http://www.lboro.ac.uk/admin/ar/lps/progreg/year/1112/index.htm. - Module options (where applicable) should have been submitted by the end of the Summer term. Late requests and requests for changes to your optional module selection must be made to Caroline Neale in the Student Support Centre (RT032) by the end of week 1 in each Semester. Please note that places on some modules are restricted.
- Students who are registered for the sandwich version of their programme and return to take Part C instead of taking up a placement must transfer their registration to the non-DIS programme, at the start of the academic year, and register in person. A transfer form should be submitted (available from Caroline Neale in the Student Support Office (RT032)).
- 2011-12 examination periods will be published in due course on: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/admin/ar/student/exams/dates/. Students should avoid making other commitments during the SAP period if they think that they may have to take reassessment during this period.
- Exam timetables are usually published just before the Christmas Break, and just after the Easter Break.
- Provisional results for Semester 1 will be published in February 2012. Please note that all claims for impaired performance (i.e., Semester 1 and 2) are considered by the summer Programme Boards. Final results for the whole year are released via Learn after the Programme Boards have met, in June/July 2012. The Exams Office will notify students of procedures and dates of boards by email prior to the start of the Semester 2 examination period.
- Reassessment registration forms will be sent out after each Board, with detailed information about requirements. Please note that reassessment arrangements cannot be made for failed Semester 1 modules until after the Programme Boards have met and results are published.
