Department celebrates 16th winner of the Salters Graduate Prize
April 2010
Paul Devitt, a final year MEng Chemical Engineering student, joins a long line of award winning Loughborough students on being selected for a 2010 Salters Graduate Prize.
There are only 5 such prizes awarded to graduating Chemical Engineers from UK departments. Paul continues a long run of success at Loughborough, as the Department has had 16 winners in the last 17 years. Paul will be awarded £1000 in recognition of his achievement as a student. The Salters Prize selection committee look for candidates who will ultimately be able to occupy leading positions in the UK Chemical and allied industries.
Paul was also a runner-up in the SET Best Chemical Engineering Student Awards in 2009, for his work on phase change materials conducted whilst studying abroad at Auckland University as part of his degree.
