Professor Richard Holdich receiving his award

Professor presented with Excellence in Teaching Award

December 2009

Professor Richard Holdich, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University, has been awarded an ExxonMobil Excellence in Teaching Award 2009.

Professor Holdich was presented with his award at Claridges Hotel in London earlier this month.

Established by ExxonMobil to identify and award centres of excellence in engineering teaching in the UK and Republic of Ireland, the award recognises Professor Holdich’s sustained contribution to teaching and learning in chemical engineering over many years.

As a result of the award, Loughborough University has been given the status of an ‘ExxonMobil Centre of Teaching Excellence’ for 12 months and will also receive priority for graduate recruitment and undergraduate work placements, among other benefits.
